Rebecca has a wealth of experience of providing supervision to a range of professionals in a variety of settings, and has an in-depth understanding of the requirements for BABCP Accreditation, as well as many years of supporting CBT therapists and trainees to develop their skills in CBT and its' application, in particular to children and young people. 

Rebecca has a good knowledge of guidance, policies and safeguarding procedures,  allowing her to support supervises with challenging problems within therapy to support safe practice.

In keeping with good CBT practice, Rebecca makes use of empirically based models for supervision, including the use of Kolb's learning theory and cycle (1984) along with good principles of CBT practice within the supervision, including socratic questioning, identifying key cognitions, emotions and behaviours for both client and therapist and making use of homework tasks and behavioural experiments. 

Additionally, a strong emphasis is placed on the importance of the therapeutic relationship and self care and self compassion of the therapist to build an environment where learning and reflection can take place in a safe and comfortable place for the benefit of both the therapist and their clients. 

Rebecca is very willing to support supervises with BABCP applications through the completion of supervisor reports, along with supporting supervises to meet requirements of good practice in relation to live supervision through the use of recordings. This can be through sections of tape in supervision sessions, or through use of standardised measures such as CTS-R for whole sessions (at an additional cost).
